Tops On–Tops Off
Quickly close and open inner and outer shells by eliminating the bolt heating and torquing processes between breakout and final closure during your next turbine outage. By pressurizing select studs simultaneously, you can generate loads sufficient to simulate operation conditions. The hydraulic nuts temporarily replace existing nuts on the inner and outer casings during the process by providing enough clamping force to overcome any casing distortion. A typical closure procedure for inner and outer cylinders using the traditional method can take up to 60 man-hours to complete. The Tops On–Tops Off process is portable, safe, and will save you enormous amounts of time.
